It can be a daunting task. My video tutorial on this is not quite ready yet, but basically, you need a cel board with grooves (sorry I don't know your skill level) and you'll insert a wire a few inches long into the back (grooved) side of each gumpaste petal you roll out. Use a ball tool to thin and frill the edges and then let them dry on a piece of wrinkled aluminum foil. The exposed wire will then stick into the cake. I have another post that is similar where I go into a bit more detail. You can find that post here:

http://bit.ly/lFWLIy

Good luck, and yes, my cake is buttercream, but the same technique will work on fondant cakes just as well. Let me know how it goes, OK?Jennifferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00630250151874218922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7403012211761789654.post-56178229109503108082012-04-04T11:45:51.990-04:002012-04-04T11:45:51.990-04:00Please let me know how to attach these gumpaste pe...Please let me know how to attach these gumpaste petals to the cake. I think its important for a cake designer to be flexible that way so they can create that perfect cake for their client.SweetThingsTOhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03015653308838146937noreply@blogger.com
