The cake is a simple two tier butter cream cake with fondant accents. I hand molded the bear based off the design the mother showed me. She did however want the crown added. Now I didn't ask why, but I like to think that the crown was added either because (a) Jude is his mommy's little prince, or (b) to symbolize that all the world is his kingdom.
This cake is just perfect! I love making 1st birthday cakes - its also how the parents describe their kids and get so excited about the party. Love how the figure is hugging the 1 - great idea. I might have to borrow it sometime. :-)
